I downloaded a patch for stronghold crusader and now it tells me it needs the disc to run. I'v been trying to remove it but i don't know how

I downloaded files that tell it not to do the cd check and either i placed it in the wrong place or it doesn't work

How do i remove this god forsaken patch?

System Restore. Short of that, nothing you can do. Files have already been replaced. The process has to finish.

iv tried that but it wont restore for some reason it always comes back when the computer restarts and says it was unable to restore

is there maybe a way to get a different patch that degrades the one in place now?

re-patch it with an older version, it will rewrite over the new one. If there isnt an older one just back up your game files in my documents and reinstall the game.

sorry then man, we don't really allow talk of illegally downloading software on these forums. No CD cracks are pretty much a no no as well.

good luck, I'm sure if you Google enough you will be able to figure something out.
