I've tried 3 different methods of adding photos to disks and none will play on DVD player.
I recall doing it once before, but cant remember how I did it.
I have blank CD-Rs and Blank DVD+Rs to work with.

Any possibility of you telling us exactly what three methods you have all ready tried? Not many member here that are mind readers.

Does your DVD player only support playing movie DVDs or can it also display photos saved as data files on burned DVDs and/or CDs?

1: simple copy to CD-R disk
    2: Windows 'Burn-to-disk' on a DVD+R disk
3: Made a Windows moviemaker movie [DVD playback-computer]
and copied to a CD-R disk.
.......I tried tinkerin around with ROXIO but hit a wall there.

Our DVD player has been used for photo disks a few times

Some DVD players can show jpeg's that have just been written to a CD-R or CD+R disk. Let us assume that yours is not such a DVD player.
Then you need to convert these files to a format the player can view.
The windows movie maker option will work. Take that file you have already made and then use DVDflick to convert the wmv file to a vob file and write a disc.

    Using DVDflick now.
I went through the whole disk creation process.
flick went through all processes and said: finished--[30 minutes]
    the disk was blank.

    are these the same thing?
project file [dfproj] and ISO and vob

Maybe your DVD burner is not working! Have you successfully burnt anything recently?

The disk is not TOTALY blank....there's a tiny sliver of something on it.
I think flick just made the ISO file instead of burning it.
I found the ISO file --[It had to be the one created as flick was processing]---i'm curently trying to burn that to a dvd disk now.
    6 minutes left.

DVD+R disks, the white side up?
    or the mirror side up?
