    Hi,
I've recently re-installed windows, leaving all files the same appart from c:\windows.
    But...
I want it to use my old account folder (c:\documents and settings\adam), it is currently using "c:\documents and settings\adam.windows", is there any way to change my profile folder back to my old one?

I personally think it is easier to copy all the files from your old profile dir to your new profile dir. If you really want to change the profile location you'll have to dig deep in the registry.

If the latter is the case:
login with a different admin privileged account
    start regedit
    goto HHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\<userSid>\
change the data for the value: ProfileImagePath to c:\documents and settings\adam

<userSid> look through these and find the one which contains "c:\documents and settings\adam.windows" as data for the value ProfileImagePath

    WARNING:
Registry editing is serious business! A mistake can ruin your system beyond repair! Make a export of the key before you edit. I have not tested the above suggestion, use at own risk.
