Solved: how to delete typo which remains in Google search box when I first open Googl

    When I first open Google, in the Search Box is a typo which I cannot delete.Any ideas? Many thanks. pianojoe

    Hi pianojoe,

    How have you tried to delete it?

    I would try to:
    position the mouse cursor at the end of the typo string, and hit the Backspace key.

    Have you done that at least - and it doesn't work?

    Try also, make a long blank string in Notepad between two quotes, like so:
    "__________" (underscore char substituted for space)
    Then highight (grab it) between the quotes, copy, then highlight the typo and paste th blank string into the Google search box.

    No need to delete anything..... just make sure you dont select "AUTOCOMPLETE"

    Tools>>>Internet options>>>>Advance>>>>>look there
