I recently received a Word doc with some funny pictures in it. I want to copy those pictures and save as jpegs to use later. How do I do this?

Save the document using Save-As and selecting the html option in File of Type.
It will save it with the images separated out, the only way I have found of keeping the quality of the image useable.

Save As in a separate temporary directory so you can find the images.

Have you just tried dragging the picture to the desktop? Works for me.

Depending how the image was placed, the quality often disappears. Some work, some don't.
The HTML option seems to produce the best results for me.

depending on what programs you have available, I have, in the past, converted the word document to a .pdf file, and then exported the images to photoshop. Yes, its a long way around, and a bit of work, but I didn't notice any image degredation doing it that way.
