Hello all!

I'm a HTML newbie and struggling with my first webpage. I have a Links page set up alphabetically. I want to have the letters preferably in a white square with a blue border to increase its visibility? Is there an wasy way around this? See what I mean by looking here:

Sure

just add this code below the <table> tag

PHP:
<tr><td  colspan="3"><center>A</center></td></tr>
So the A would look like this...

PHP:
<a name="A">
<table width=100% border=3 cellpadding=5 bordercolor=darkblue>
<tr><td  colspan="3"><center>A</center></td></tr>
<tr><td width=33% bgcolor=white><a href="http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html"><b><center>APOD</center></b></a></td>
<td width=33% bgcolor=white><a href="http://www.artunframed.com/"><b><center>Art Unframed</center></b></a></td>
<td width=33% bgcolor=white><a href="http://www.abebooks.com/"><b><center>Abebooks</center></b></a></td>
</tr><tr>
<td width=33% bgcolor=white><a href="http://members.aol.com/axcel216/axcel216.htm-"><center><b>Axcel's Tips</b></center></a></td>
<td width=33% bgcolor=white><a href="http://www.accesslearning.com/"><center><b>Access TV</b></center></a></td>
<td width=33% bgcolor=white><a href="http://www.annoyances.org/"><center><b>Annoyances.org</b></center></a></td>
</tr></table>
