    HI all

I think i had downloaded something wrong, and now i cant open anything after i open IE,beyond that i cant seem to open anything else by a second window, and in my Msn Messenger, i cant open hotmail ,or when im in the chats i cant browse with a second window, cause it wont give me a second window, i hope u know what i mean, also, it doesnt open, profiles..... I cant open anything in my favorites. It just either freezes or the world just keeps turning and turning, (icon). I downloaded "cookie monster 11" to clean cookies and cache, not sure if that is my prob,, and when my puter freeze, i will "alt-ctrl-del" and in there, i will see, lexplore, or iexplore, not sure which letter, but it does look like, lexplore, and every time this is in there, im freezing up when i wanna open anything else, more so with messenger,
    thanks in advance, i hope i explained myself clearly;

What o/s are you using ?

Well you've got to start somewhere so

    Try a repair of ie

    Go to start\settings\control panel

    click add\remove programs

scroll down to "Microsoft internet explorer" and click add\remove

You will be given 3 options

choose "repair internet explorer" and click ok

    OR

Start\run type msinfo32 ok - click tools - Internet explorer repair tool

    hi,
thanks for replying to my post.. i am using, windows 98 and i have tried what you suggested, but it seems tho its not helping any...i forgot to also mention i downloaded "webshots desktop" but i cant seem to think that was the prob....but anyways, any info i share may be of help. I still cant open to any other window.and my Messenger is still freezing. would it have anything to do with deleting the cache and cookies?? i did un install "cookie monster 11" and when i freeze, we will say, messenger, when i click "ctrl-alt-del" it says, explore not responding, and nothing on my messenger and its actually that one thats freezing up, any other suggestions?? thanks again,

First, do you have a popup stopper installed? If so, that might be malfunctioning. Try disabling it and if the problem is fixed, uninstall the popup stopper or reinstall it if you want to keep it.

If that's not the solution, go through the steps under the subheading, "Resolution," in this MS KB article and see if that fixes things.

    Hi bandit

Long time no see, hope you are well and not had any serious problems keeping you away from tsg :)

    Maggie

Nothing in your log that helps with the problem - When you are able to, you should update to the latest version of hijackthis.

In the meantime you can "fix" these 2 items

Close down all browser windows before running hijackthis

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {A5366673-E8CA-11D3-9CD9-0090271D075B} - (no file)

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [LoadQM] loadqm.exe

    Also try this :-

Go to Start>Run, and type in each of the following lines separately,

    regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
    regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
    regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
    regsvr32 Urlmon.dll
    regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll
    regsvr32 Shell32.dll

After each line, click OK, and a dialog box notifies that the dll has been registered successfully.

    After registering all dlls, reboot.
