Hello - I was working on my computer when I was very tired & I briefly fell asleep with my keyboard as the pillow.

When I awoke.....I noticed that all of my "Sent Items" had disappeared. I probably had around 150 of them because from time to time I would need to refer back to one of them. If they are gone for good - that is going to be a real bummer.

My E-mail Program is Outlook Express. I went to the Recycle Bin in case they were there & they were not. I'm far from a computer whiz. I'm 60 years old so didn't study them in school. I moved from the West Coast To GA about 8 years ago.

When I lived out West I played a lot of poker, but when I moved to GA there were no Casino's with poker rooms in them or any stand alone poker rooms. Since I like poker so much I taught myself how to play poker online....these are real games for money....although since 2006....online poker for American players has gone downhill drastically because one retired senator decided he didn't like Americans playing poker.....so much for the land of the free.

I just mentioned the last paragraph so folks would know about how much experience I have. Of course, once I learned how to do other things on my computer such as burning CD's.....I have picked up some more computer knowledge....but I'm sure to most folks here I would be considered a novice.

I don't know if this is fixable....& if it possibly is....I'm not sure what other info to include. My OS is Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Version 2002, Service Pack 3.

My computer is oldish & is a Hewlett-Packard HP xw6400 Workstation. I have more info about it but I don't know if any of this info is needed & I think people don't like reading long posts.

Of course, the one thing I dread is hearing "Your Sent Items" part of your E-mail program is dust in the wind & can't be recovered & I have a feeling that is what I'm probably gonna hear. But I thought maybe there is a chance that one of the Wizards here might be able to help.

So any answers or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. THANKS

I wasn't sure how to use the edit button on the post I made about 10 minutes b4 this one. One thing I just noticed in my E-mail program was that the number of "deleted items" is quite a bit higher than b4.

I also noticed that one of the 1st deleted items now is an e-mail I sent yesterday. I would say that it sorta looks like the "sent items" all moved to the "deleted items" but the number after deleted items now says 71 & I thought I had around 150 of them as I mentioned in the previous post.

But I guess its possible I was wrong about that. Anyway - is there a way to move the items that are now at "Deleted Items" back to the "Sent Files" area. I right clicked on the "Deleted Items"" heading &
I didn't see a way to move them back to "Sent Files" - but again, I'm a novice.

Any Help Again Would Be Very Appreciated. THANKS

Just right click on the message(s) in Deleted Items folder and select "Move to Folder" option and then choose Sent Items folder.

Hi - after 1st reading your reply I went over to where it lists all the Folders in Outlook Express. I went to the "Deleted Items" folder & right-clicked on it and there was no choice to move it to another folder.

So I went back & read your reply & thought maybe you meant to for me to click on every E-mail in the area where they have Subject - Sending Time - & Account headings. Obviously I didn't click on each file.....I did the Shift Click thing so I could grab all 70 or so of the deleted files at once & then right-clicked on one of them in the bunch when they all had turned blue.....& then it did have an option to move them back to the Sent Items folder & that did the trick.

I'm sure I misunderstood what u said at 1st....but it was just a small delay. THANK YOU FOR SOLVING MY PROBLEM. Is there somewhere in this forum where I can give u points or something? I'm not very forum savvy. I only belong to one other which deals with poker & a ton of other things.....almost everything.....philosophy, sports....it covers almost everything & it's HUGE. It's called the 2+2 Poker Forum. I did see a box that says problem solved.

So maybe after I submit this reply.....it will take to to a place where I can mark this solved. THANKS AGAIN
