When I go to my homepage I get a porn site. I think I have been hijacked.

What do I need to do....Please explain in detail because I am somewhat computer illiterate. (n)

Install some decent anti-virus software that would scan and fix the problem. I recommend Sophos (www.sophos.com), which I think a free trial could be used to fix the problem.

I dont think removing this is going to be straight forward for you. It depend on what virus you have and what type of operating system your computer is using.

try this:
Click - Start > Run , type 'msconfig', then enter.
Click the 'Startup' tab, and you should have list of 'Startup' programs.
Untick all the boxes, click OK, then restart the PC.

Doing this usually de-activates most viruses; so that you can install some anti-virus software which can remove it.

Once the virus has been removed, you may still have to fix some of the problems it caused; like changing your home page back.
