    So woke up this morning to my computers internet non-exsistant, says its connected bla bla but nothin nada zip...figured ipicked up some malware or somethin, unfortuantly i didnt have ad-aware installed at the time and my virus scanner picked nothin up.     well i am good for asking dumb questions so here goes. If your internet is not working then how did you post the HJT? or did you get the internet working and just looking to see if there is anything on the HJT. just curious.

    Did you try doing a system restore if your problem did not get corrected??

    If you have another computer then I would suggest you copy some things which you are going to probably need if there is a mess to clean up.

    This way you will be prepared in advance.

    You could probably install and run these without causing any harm.

    I have 2 other computers on the same network, including the laptop i am on right now, all of which connect flawlessly to the internet...I simply downloaded hijackthis and put it on a usb thumb drive...

    I installed adaware but the definitions on the version i have are wayout of date and didnt detect anything. virus scanner which is up to date (bit defender) also doesnt detect anhything...
