For some reason everytime I install anything related to Windows Installer I get the error that the access to the file is denied?
So why is this happening?

With one out of 6 computers infected I cannot rule out spyware in your case, but Installer has often presented problems all on its own. Here are some more things to try. I suggest that you attempt to install the latest version for XP, 3.1.

For help with spyware, go to the following link, read all the stickies, and post a HiJackThis log there.

I found your last post cryptic. What did you try, and did you get a 'new' Installer?
