My dog chewed my key board cord and when i plug in the new keyboard it wont work, i am password protected on windows. without my keyboard i cant type in my password. my computer is a IBM, it run windows xp. could my comp have damage from the dog chewing the cord. its not the first time but i never had a problem before. can someone help me ??
The port on the PC could have been damaged. If it was a PS2 keyboard, try a USB keyboard. If USB, try all the ports; ports are usually paired, so you may have two bad ports, but the others may still be good.
Or, if it was a USB keyboard and you have a PS2 port, try a PS2 keyboard.
As Hermitt43 has indicated, we can't help you to bypass the password.
