Got a small problem:

Installed "Simm's-Game" in Windows ME-

The game takes over the "show-desktop" on your taskbar, takes on some kind of building icon, & then it won't show desktop anymore,...

Took a look at kids Windows '98,...& same thing...(just never noticed, I guess)

Tried uninstalling the game, went diving in to pull out another shortcut from the original "show desktop", but it has also been altered,...

Any solutions ?

do you have a small>> on the bottom left hand corner of your taskbar ?

if so click on it and you will probably find the show desktop icon in the menu that scrolls up

Show Desktop
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM

I went over to the Knowledge base and the following method works for Win ME.
GO to Windows\system and the Show Desktop . Drag it to the quick launch toolbar to create a new shortcut to desktop there.

In fact, I have used this method in Win98SE too.

Or is that illegal or something...?!?

Got it zipped but need your E-mail address. Send it over PM (private messages)
Hope this is what you need. Copied C:\window\system\Show Desktop and zipped.

Boy do I feel bad about that show desktop problem. Here you were so kind to offer to test Sims game on an WinME machine and it changes things.
Anyway I e-mailed the zipped file over to you. Hope that is what you need.

Chill Davey,..
That's my doing,...& that's what's so cool about this place,...people helping another out. There's a fix, & besides, I'm learning more, & I want to keep the game !!!

OK, here's the latest & greatest:

Replaced the file
Made shortcut to toolbar
...when clicked, it asks what program to open with...
( also, tried clicking the file itself )
