Hi everyone. Someone download something, probably Lycos, and I had over 400 things on my adaware log. Removed it all, somethings remained, ran spybot also. I need someone to make sure that there is nothing left.
    I appreciate it:

after fixing peper unzip hjt to a permanent folder not a temp one so it will make & keep backups
    then
Run hijackthis, tick these entries listed below and ONLY these entries, double check to make sure, then make sure all browser & email windows are closed and press fix checked

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [PROMon.exe] PROMon.exe

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Dsi] C:\WINNT\system32\dp-k13w13.exe

    O4 - Startup: Virtual Bouncer.lnk = C:\Program Files\VBouncer\VirtualBouncer.exe

Reboot into safe mode by following instructions here: http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2001052409420406
then as some of the files or folders you need to delete may be hidden do this:
Open Windows Explorer & Go to Tools > Folder Options. Click on the View tab and make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked. Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" and untick "hide extensions for known file types" . Now click "Apply to all folders"
    Click "Apply" then "OK"

    Delete these files
    C:\WINNT\system32\dp-k13w13.exe

    and Delete these folders
    C:\PROGRAm files\WHEN U Search
    C:\Program Files\VBouncer

Don't want to butt in on Derek's turf, but I see he's offline.
These are still on your computer so you are going to have to do it again following Derek's instructions above=
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Dsi] C:\WINNT\system32\dp-k13w13.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WhenUSearch] C:\PROGRA~1\WHENUS~1\Search.exe
    O4 - Startup: Virtual Bouncer.lnk = C:\Program Files\VBouncer\VirtualBouncer.exe

HJT is still in a Temp folder too.

    SP4 needed for W2K too.

OK, just want to point out that I have slowly begun to lose my mind and Because I have three different machines with problems, I have to consciously think about which computer I am on when I am running HJT logs and fixing them. I saved HJT onto this machine and here is the new log.:D
