Hello, I'm new here so I'm not exactly sure if this is the correct section/category to post this is:confused:. But, lets go straight to the problem:
    Icons not showing up on-
    Taskbar
    Start Menu Shortcuts
    Not in folders

The programs are all Microsoft/Windows programs. I don't know if you can use the [IMG]

    Windows 7 x86 ??? ... Is this the RTM version ??

    YES .. Windows 7 has a problem with the Icons/Thumbnails .. I think x64 is worse
I'm waiting to see if it's fixed when released .. But not too optimistic.

Microsoft thinks Thumbnails make better Icons nowadays.
Office 2003 and 2007 seem to work differently.

    Maybe not right now ..
I haven't dug into it too far ... But it doesn't surprise me to see something different on my Desktop .. or in Folders.
And, It doesn't surprise me to see it change .. Depending on what M$ thinks I should be looking at

But I'm curious what you expect to see ???
And are you coming from XP or Vista ??

You didn’t answer if you’re coming from XP or Vista.

It seems that in Vista ..
M$ forgot there’s a difference in the display of .. (and the purpose for) .. Icons and Thumbnails.
In Vista .. M$ gives you Thumbnails in place of Icons of most (but not all) Image files.

And in W7 .. M$ is now giving you Thumbnails of your Documents .. in place of Icons.
Is this what you are seeing .. Trying to fix ???

Solved. Re-Install it, or repair, which is something I don't think Microsoft Office setup can do >.>
