    Hello,

I hope that someone can help me. I am sure there is an easy answer,

    Running Windows 98SE IE6 SP1

Yesterday my pc had a major crash, for the first time ever I had to take it in to a professional to sort it out. After the crash I had problems with colours and text - icons and all other applications were extremely large and could not be resized in the usual way. The person who checked my pc said that the sizing was set at 600, whatever. The pc had reset itself to this size.

The person I took my pc to checked everything and reset the colours and size.
I had some extra memory added, giving me 512 mb of RAM. No major work was required.

Everything, now, appears to be fine except that everything is now quite a lot smaller than I would want. I have clicked the view in toolbars and ticked the largest text but it has no effect. It is not just the text, everything is much smaller than I want, taskbar, toolbar, icons, windows etc.

Can anyone please tell me how to change the size of everything back to normal.

I would be so grateful, I really do not want to have to return my pc when I am sure it is quite easy to do myself.

    Thank you so much.

Right click on the desktop, properties, configuration, and change to some other resolution....for example, mine is 800x600.

It's probably set to 1024 x 768 in the display settings. You need to right click on the desktop and choose properties. From there the settings tab. You'll see a slider and it probably says what I said before 1024 x 768, move the slider left until it says 800 x 600 then click apply.

    That should do it.
