Hi everyone, hope you can help me, I have a Dell Inspiron 530, and I want to change its videocard to a GeForce 8600 gt, I have consulted the Dell website to see what videocards are good for my pc, and they have the nvidia geforce 8600gt 256mb, I really dont know much about videocards, I have looking for websites to buy my card and I found one that sells a XFX GeForce 8600gt 256 MB, will it be goof for my pc?, and other thing, I found some other cards but with larger memory, like 8600gt 1GB, all are PCI Express, can I install one video card to my pc with a larger amount of memory, the dell website only have the 256 MB memory but I want a 1 gb card, well, thank you very much in advance!

Oh btw, my PC its a Dell Inspiron 530, 320 GB Hard Drive, Core 2 Duo 2.40 GHz , 2gb Ram

The amount of video RAM in the card makes very little difference in performance. Only top notch video cards (Radeon 4850/4870 and up, Geforce 9800 GTX and up) really benefit from more than 512 MB.
A new video card will do good for your PC, if your power supply gives enough power for it. I would assume so, as Dell said that a 8600 GT is fine.
Get either one of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814145146 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150247 (I would say get the XFX one, they have a great warranty service, and it's more reliable and is less than 10 $ more)
