    Hi all.

    Wondered if anyone could assist:

Although my Internet connection seems fine, and I`ve contacted my ISP, who are confirming that it is fine, I am having trouble loading pages. For instance, when I click on a link, etc, the page either doesn`t load at all, and I have to refresh, or the page starts to load, but stops halfway through, and I have to refresh again, to make if load fully.

I have this problem with various sites, and also various browsers, as I use Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Opera. It is the same with all of them.

I have done various virus scans, ad-ware scans, and malware scans, and nothing is coming up.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

For info., here is the HJT Log:

Have you cleared out the browser's cache?

    Hi There;
I have experienced the same problem with my cable internet... Calling tech support at the ISP helped a little but not much. What I found I had to do was Reboot my cable modem & restart the computer... When I rebooted my cable modem I had to leave it off & UNPLUGED for 5-10 minutes so it would reset it's memory... after restarting everything, the connections were a lot faster... the ISP was getting a good read to my modem, but it wasn't making the connection thru to the computer... good luck

Okay people, thanks for the replies. (y)

Cheeseball: Yes, I`ve already emptied the cache, and I tend to clean them all out, on a daily basis, using CCleaner. Thanks anyway.

Canadianchic: I`ll give that one a try. The ISP suggested unplugging, and then re-booting, etc, but only for about 10 seconds.

I`ll try it for 10-15 minutes instead, as you suggest, and see if it re-sets things.

    Many thanks.

    Hmmm.........

I`m back. Unfortunately, the re-set hasn`t solved the problem

Anyone else to check the HJT log and offer assistance.

    Any reply gratefully appreciated ..............;)

    Thanks again Cheeseball.

I`ve downloaded and ran ATF, and it seems to have made a difference, although there is still some evidence that the problem is not yet cured.

I`ll try it over the next few days, and I`ll get back to you.

Thanks for your help, it is MUCH appreciated.

    Hi Cheeseball.

Still the same, mate. No change at all.

Can anyone have a look at the HJT log I posted, and see what you think.

    It`s now driving me mad.

    Thanks.

Okay, any other suggestions as to what could be causing this ?

Everything was fine, and had been for ages, until about 3 weeks ago, and then suddenly............this !

I`ve not added anything new, or done anything different, so I`ve no idea why it`s started.

I`ve tried: NoAdware, Ewido, Spybot, and my ISP`S virus scanner, and nothing comes up.

Had you added any new software or hardware to the system when this started to occur?

How much RAM do you have?

And another thought could be a system restore back to before this started.
