    Hi!
my sound forge does record anything that I"m listening to on the net, but seems to have some kind of protection that turn off my PC after a minute!!!!
I deed record and saved radio programs in the past, but now this turn off is making me mad!
Also I know there are cheap programs out there for radio recording. Any advices?
    thanks

    Hiya

Are there any error messages that come up when this happens, or does it just close?
Which version of SoundForge and Windows are you running?

Lets see what else is running:

go to http://forum.aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip , and download 'Hijack This!'.
Unzip, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log somewhere, and please copy & paste its contents to the forum.

It will possibly show other issues deserving our attention, but most of what it lists will be harmless or even required, so do NOT fix anything yet.
Someone here will be happy to help you analyze the results.

    Regards

    eddie

    Hi eddie!
I run XP pro and sound forge 7 ( I removed sound forge for now ). there were no messages. Now i do my recording with "mp3 audio recorder" and it works fine.
when my PC become unstable I generally reinstall windows, but I,d rather understand where the problem is coming from.

Okay, first off, lets move HijackThis to its own folder.

Go to My Documents and create a folder for it.

Uninstall via AddRemove MyWebSearch and P2P Networking

Then, run HijackThis, and tick the following:

    O2 - BHO: myBar BHO - {0494D0D1-F8E0-41ad-92A3-14154ECE70AC} - C:\Program Files\MyWay\myBar\1.bin\MYBAR.DLL
    O3 - Toolbar: My &Search Bar - {0494D0D9-F8E0-41ad-92A3-14154ECE70AC} - C:\Program Files\MyWay\myBar\1.bin\MYBAR.DLL
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [P2P Networking] C:\WINDOWS\System32\P2P Networking\P2P Networking.exe /AUTOSTART
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AltnetPointsManager] C:\Program Files\Altnet\Points Manager\Points Manager.exe -s
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [CMESys] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\CMEII\CMESys.exe"
    O4 - Global Startup: Sam.lnk = ?
    O4 - Global Startup: GStartup.lnk = C:\Program Files\Common Files\GMT\GMT.exe
    O16 - DPF: {1D6711C8-7154-40BB-8380-3DEA45B69CBF} (Web P2P Installer) -
    O23 - Service: Crypkey License - Unknown - crypserv.exe (file missing)

Close all IE and Explorer windows, then Fix the above.

    Then, delete these folders:

    C:\Program Files\Altnet\Points Manager

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\CMEII

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\GMT
