To get your ip you can go to

Start>run>ipconfig

It will be in there as well as other things, including your hostname.

a domain name is a URL, such as www.hostindustry.net is my domain name.

can anyone tell me how to access the site where my ip address is located? I ran the "ipconfig" in the "run" and it popped up for just a brief moment. Would not stay up long enough for me to read it.

In 98 and ME, click Start > Run and type in "command" without the quotes and click ok,
then type ipconfig.
Find your adapter in the drop down menu and you should see you IP address.
