hey guys. i really need some help, fast!!

ok, so i made the fatal error of updating to iOS 4.3.1 (the latest one, im sure it's that) and it has destroyed my phone and it won't let me restore: i am getting error 1031 (restore error)

i had a look at another way to restore it: http://thetechjournal.com/electroni...-to-ios-4-0-1fix-itunes-1004-1015-error.xhtml

only difference is, i downloaded the 4.3 restore version, the version i'm sure my SHSH blobs will be (correct me if i'm wrong, im not sure on that point)

if anyone can please help it would be awesome. kinda need my phone to be a phone and not a £400 paper weight again really fast!!

quick note: it fails at the point the progress bar in iTunes is saying "Restoring Phones Firmware" - it happens on just clicking the restore button and doing it the way the link suggests

hmm. turns out it was as simple as shutting down and using a different USB.

lesson of the day: do the simple stuff first next time :)
