Solved: is it passable to make a bootable DVD for windows vista

    1- is it passable to make a bootable DVD for windows vista(or windows 7)?

    2-Can I install windows vista(or windows 7) on an empty HD?(There isnt any OS on the HD)

    Vista and Windows 7 disks are bootable themselves. What are you trying to do with the bootable disk that you want to make?

    Yes, both operating systems can be installed on an empty hard drive.

    Are you wanting to make a bootable DVD from a ISO file?

    i didnt know that sorry

    mine isnt bootable my DVD bit damaged so i want to make a bootable back up DVD

    how can I make a bootable back up?




    No i want to back up my original DVD that's all

    If the install disk is damaged, then get a replacement disk. As long as you can prove you own the disk, then MS should be able to help you.

    All vista and win7 disks are bootable so there is no need to "make" one.
