Download Trend Micro HijackThis 2.0.2 from here, install it, restart your computer, open HijackThis and run a scan with it, save the resulting log in Notepad, then copy-and-paste the entire log here.

I'm not quite understanding what you mean by "disabling" those two applications.

You don't need to run either, so why the need to disable?

You can uninstall Windows Live Messenger. You can also uninstall recent versions of Windows Media Player, but I'm not sure if that gets completely rid of it or just takes you back to whatever version is bundled with your Windows.

I would like to delete these two programs from filehippo.com Update Checker list: http://www.postimage.org/image.php?v=Pq2nLVn9. I don't use and need them so it could be useful to disable them.
How can I uninstall Windows Live Messenger if it is not in list of installed programs. The same with Windows Media Player.
I was surprised too with HijackThis.
Where do I put this command: gpedit.msc/computer configuration/windows components/windows messenger ?

Hello emil.sekula. If you do not use them or want them why leave them on your computer?
