Best way to is to identify the system model or the motherboard make and model.

In this case it appears you have a Toshiba so I'd start by looking up the model of your system on their website and they generally have all the drivers needed.

EVEREST, is a great tool for identifying pc components and the engineers version can even supply links to the sites needed for driver updates. The free version does not identify all of the latest motherboards unless they have updated it since i last used it.

Hi Triple6 & 12Tipp12 and thanx sooooo much for your replies. Ive just tried to download everest (impressive package) but got a popup saying 'the setup files are corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the program.' What program do I need and where can I get it? Im guessing this is just one tiny step towards solving the problem, lol but I feel Im heading in the right direction!
