    Hi,

I recently uninstalled iTunes 7 because it was giving me trouble, so I downloaded iTunes 6 and installed it but whenever I open the program up it gives me this error (attached). How do I fix this?

    Thanks.

I wasn't kidding when I said to get 7. Why do you think it sucks? Because that's probably the only way you're going to be able to fix your problem.

This is why I'm asking if there is a way to fix the problem. And no, I don't want to go back to 7.

So I'll just wait 'till somebody else replies to the thread, or if nobody does, I'll use winamp.

Well, we're probably going to be waiting a while until someone says something different than get 7 so why don't you just tell me why you don't like 7?

Why does that really matter? This thread isn't about iTunes 7... so stop talking about it.

Sorry, but it's probably the only way to fix it. If you really don't want to list your problems here so I can help, then just make a new thread about them.

Avianca, iTunes and QuickTime are joined at the hip. Have you tried cleaning them both off your computer completely before trying to install iTunes6? It almost sounds like a file was left behind during the uninstall and isn't being over written by the older version of it.

Solutions to Common Installation and Launch Errors

That link contains instructions on doing a complete uninstall and a clean install of iTunes (the links towards the bottom of the page)
