I was running Java 7 and having problems so I wanted to revert to Java 6.29. I deleted Java 7, re-booted, checked Control Centre/Programs and there were no files there. I downloaded Java 6.29 and tried to install but got a Java error message that said "this software is already installed on your computer, would you like to reinstall it?"
i click yes, because it says its not installed on the programs.

then after clicking yes i get this Windows error message

"this action is only valid for products that are currently installed"

and in the start menu control panel,
the java panel, when i click it and
try to update this error comes up.

"this system cannot find this file specified"
    C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\javacpl.exe

I have used Revo Uninstaller to ensure all traces were removed but I still can't install.
