My computer does not always recognise hardware (jump drive, camera) which is plugged in to the USB ports on the front of the computer. If I click on "remove hardware safely" the device shows up but it does not show up as a drive on "my computer". Can this be fixed? Thanks.

Go into Computer Management (start, run, compmgmt.msc)
Locate Disk Management and assign a drive letter to the jump drive.
