my kaspersky internet security 2011 was showing a problem that its DATABASE IS CORRUPTED.i tried solving it bt cud nt do nything.
i went on the kaspersky website found this solution:

Restart Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 and try to update databases

If the update process ends with the same error, then try to restart the application and update the databases once again. In order to do so, perform the following actions:

right-click the application icon in the right lower part of the screen in the Taskbar notification area
select Exit from the context menu that will open
start the application. To do so, select Start - All programs - Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 - Kaspersky Internet Security 2011
start the update process via the application interface as it is described above

when i clicked on the exit at the task bar and tried to opn it from start menu it is now not opening....i dnt hav a CD of it as well...
    PLzzz HELP....its urgent.....!!!!!!
    PLZZZZZ......

What happened prior to this? Had you done a system restore? That will corrupt the data base. If you did do a system restore, what was the reason for it?

Why do you not have the installation CD?

Yup, that'll do it every time. It's too late for this instance but never run optimizers/boosters or registry cleaners as they often remove registry keys that are needed and programs get broken.

Try starting Kaspersky by navigating to the following folder:

    C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Internet Security 2011

Then double-click the avp.exe file there. Does it start the program? If it does, try to update it manually.
