I have Kazaa version 2.0.2 running windows xp and tried to upgrade to the newer version of Kazaa. When I do I get a message saying that Kazaa is not supported by windows 95. Now I want to remove the program and get an error saying
error in c:\windows\system32\cd_client.dll missing entry: ServiceRundll. Does anyone have any clue to removing this program. I have had no problems in the past with Kazaa.

Read this article about the current range of peer to peer apps. Then get rid of Kazaa.

    http://www.spywareinfo.com/articles/p2p/

Then use the application linked to above.

    Next go here :

    http://security.kolla.de/

Download & Run Spybot Search & Destroy.
    Click Online.
    Click - Check for updates.
    Get all.

    Close all browser windows.
In Spybot - click Check for problems.
    Click Fix all checked.

    Also run adaware.
    www.lavasoft.com/

First, open the program and click the webupdate. Update your reference file to the latest version. Then run a complete system scan with deepscan checked. Remove all items found(unless you recognize it and want to keep it for some strange reason) and then i would reccomend deleting the log file(unless someone else suggests otherwise. Remember not to run adaware after spybot until you have restarted.

A recent report showed that 48% of all files downloaded from Kazaa included malicious code- ie Viruses. Sounds good to me.

    Kazaa Uninstaller:

    Kazaa Begone:

To remove all the Adware and Spyware that gets installed by Kazaa you must install, UPDATE, and run the following programs. Fix all problems they find.

    Ad-aware and Spybot:

Downloading copyrighted material illegally is not supported by this board.

I used Kazaabegone and it worked great. Nice to hear comments about the ongoing moral issue of music sharing, but I didn't request any help using the program. I requested help removing it. I sincerely thank everyone for their help
