Hi everyone. I have a spooky keyboard. When I boot my computer (just upgraded from ME to XP w/256 RAM) it will beep nonstop and will not boot (I get my Compaq screen and that's it). Now when I unplug the keyboard, it boots just fine and the mouse works (therefor I can go online, etc) but I have no keyboard. I know the keyboard is not broke, cuz I took it to work and it worked just fine on that computer. Could it be the the connection on the computer? Please help? Thank you.

P.S. I am taking the keyboard from my work computer home to see if that one works before I buy a new one.

ok.. if that one didn't work, then that means ur keyboard port is damaged...are u using a ps/2 keyboard...if yes, i think the alternative is to use a USB keyboard....
