Hi, For the past 2 weeks my internet has been playing up. Heres the problem. whenever In our home we have more than one computer on and connected to the network the latency recieved spikes into the thousands. Internet browsing speed is not affected as much its just in game lag that gets hit hard. What I noticed was once all pcs were turned off and my individual pc is the only device that was on and connected to the network the lag went away and the problem seized to exist.
We have had 2 technicians from our ISP come to our home and attempt to fix the problem but they stated that our connection is fine and the cables under the house are good. they also gave us a brand new netgear CG3100D-2 which was a last resort but that did not fix the problem too. I have done a speed test on speedtest.net while the problem was happening and the download speed is normal but the ping received shows normal on speed test but still spiking in game. Every game I play (LoL, Diablo 3 and various other online games) are all affected and im really not sure what to do to fix the problem
We currently have 2 laptops connected by WIFI and 2 pcs connected via Ethernet. Also a hole lot of mobile phones and consoles connected wirelessly to the network.
any help is appreciated
EDIT: Just playing now, My computer is the only pc connected to the network at the current time and ping still spikes
