can anyone help me with the following html - I am trying to do linking between pages and also alt tags but neither is working. here is a sample of what I am doing

<table width="100%" border="2">
<tr><td valign="bottom" width=" 15% ">
<a href="joeshome.html"> Home </a>
<p><img src="iceberg.jpg" border="5" alt="Home" height="100" width="150" </p>
<a href="joesproduce1.html"> Produce </a>
<p><img src="cos.jpg" border="5" alt="Produce" height="100" width="150" </p>
<a href="joeshistory.html"> History </a>
<p><img src="fancy.jpg" border="5" alt="History" height="100" width="150" </p>
</td> <td valign="top" width=" 85% ">

I have managed to get three images and need to have alt tags on them as well as each image should link to its respective page

If you want the images to be a link, then wrap the image in the <a href></a> tag. For example:

<a href="joeshome.html"> Home <img src="iceberg.jpg" border="5" alt="Home" height="100" width="150"></a>
<br>
<a href="joesproduce1.html"> Produce <img src="cos.jpg" border="5" alt="Produce" height="100" width="150"></a>
<br>
<a href="joeshistory.html"> History <img src="fancy.jpg" border="5" alt="History" height="100" width="150"></a>

Your alt tags are probably not working because you never closed the <img> tag (you left off the closing '>').

Hi chrissy1955,

You haven't completed the <img> tag, and your <table> tag is not completed.

I have managed to get three images and need to have alt tags on them as well as each image should link to its respective page
Are you trying to give image Links???? If it is your code is wrong. Here is the corrected code.

HTML:
<table width="100%" border="2">
<tr><td valign="bottom" width=" 15% ">

<a href="joeshome.html"> <img src="iceberg.jpg" border="5" alt="Home" height="100" width="150" /></a>

<a href="joesproduce1.html"> <img src="cos.jpg" border="5" alt="Produce" height="100" width="150" /> </a>

<a href="joeshistory.html"> <img src="fancy.jpg" border="5" alt="History" height="100" width="150"  /></a>

</td> </tr></table>
Apart from that, you have to put your images into your root folder to work this " img src="iceberg.jpg" ". I hope they in the root folder. If you have any doubts please come back and ask.
