What settings are necessary on iPhone 5 and iCal to get them to link together. I enter appointments on iPhone calendar and they don't show up on my iMac iCal. I have tried various settings but don't seem to find one that works. My iMac is using Mac OS X Version 10.7.5. My iPhone is running latest version.

In iTunes, select iPhone in left column, pick Info tab on right, under Calendars pick sync, and whether all calendars or just some. Calendars will only sync when you manually sync using iTunes.

For even easier syncing and automatic push updates, sign up for free iCloud. Enter you iCloud details on both iPhone and Mac, syncing will be automatic and in close to real time.

Should have mentioned that I have ICloud. I have tried to include all calendars on ICloud, IPhone and ICal. Somewhere in there I have messed up, I guess.

Are you sure on both the iPhone and on the Mac in Settings -> iCloud -> Calendars is enabled?

In iCal -> Preferences -> Accounts is the account type an iCloud type? Make sure you pick Push for refresh calendars.

Yes, but I also discovered there was an Employer-installed calendar that I don't use anymore that was being linked. I removed all except the iCloud calendars and VOILA, it works. Thanks for all your help.
