Solved: Logic probes ?

Erm, appologies if this is in the wrong section.... I'm doing a systems support course and there was some debate about whether a Logic Probe would be suitable for testing the PSU if you didn't have a DMM available (why you would have a Logic Probe and no DMM I have no idea ;) )

I'm still not convinced that it would do the job succesfully, any thoughts please :)

I can't imagine how you'd use a logic probe for this task. Of course, I also can't imagine having a logic probe and NOT a DMM either. :D

Thanks John, the debate continued today and after much 'there are too many limitations using a probe' type arguements we decided a DVM/DMM was really the only way to go :rolleyes:
