I recently created a simple website with Google Sites. Then I bought my own domain name through Godaddy.com and set it to forward on to the Google Sites webpage I created. When I do connect to my domain, it makes the transition to the older site just fine.

However, the problem is that it doesn't connect if I type in http://www.(domain name). It only connects if I leave off either the http:// or the www. What the heck is this? ...and can it be fixed?

I have a forwarding feature at Godaddy as well but I can not reproduce your results. Could you post the old and new URL's?

I'm pretty sure I found out the problem from a Godaddy support geek. I'm afraid I forgot that I'd posted this on Tech suppot Guy. I had also completely forgotten that there is both http:// and https://. I was using the later, but that is only used on secure sites and mine isn't. I still don't know why it sometomes opened using https:// without the www., but it doesn't really matter since http always works. Thank you for your efforts.
