    Hello,

I was wondering how you would define "image transparency" in regards to image manipulation.

Im not referring to translucent or see through.

Im just wondering about the concept itself and what people (specifically web designers) are thinking in regards to this term when applying it to an image?

any brief examples of the concept would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

    Hi there.

I found that this link explains the concept pretty well.

I believe he addresses "transparancy" in regards to your question when discussing the flower and the bush.

    Hope that helps. :)

I assumed we were referring to Transparent GIF's or PNG' images. Where the white space is seen thru. If I put a PNG file on a blue background you would see the blue background instead of the white.
