I bought used custom built Pc from friend.Gave me original(not a copy)Win.98 CD,later on.When I got Pc home,I run FDISK,with MY win.98 cd.Friend finally brought his original copy to me,but his son lost the product key code.Is there some program that can suck the product code out of the cd some how,or a program to actually deep scan the hard drive and tell how many Windows programs have been on the hard drive, and the product key for each one?Seems like I had something like that once but forgot what it was,if there was actually such a program.LOL.Thank you

There is no product key anywhere on the CD.

The product key would be in the registry on the hard drive. It would be a thankless task, but you could try some recovery software to see what it finds on the drive.

You don't see giving out a product key being a problem?!
