Welcome to TSG :)

Click here to download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite:
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/

· Install Ewido.
· During the installation, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu".
· Launch ewido.
· It will prompt you to update click the OK button and it will go to the main screen.
· On the left side of the main screen click update.
· Click on Start and let it update.
· DO NOT run a scan yet.

Restart your computer into Safe Mode now.
(Start tapping the F8 key at Startup, before the Windows logo screen).
Perform the following steps in Safe Mode:

* Run Ewido:
Click on scanner
Click Complete System Scan and the scan will begin.
During the scan it will prompt you to clean files, click OK.
When the scan is finished, look at the bottom of the screen and click the Save report button.
Save the report to your desktop.

Reboot.

Post a new Hijack This log and the results of the Ewido scan.

Dear Helper,

I followed exactly your instruction.
The Ewido removed 90 items and I attached here the Report File.
After I rebooted again the system, my Norton Antivirus and Microsoft Anti
Antispyware tried to remove (without success) a lot of threats.
When I tried to run again the "Hijack This", in order to get the log, it
didn't open. I only got, for a fraction of a second, a message wich I cannot
read completely. I managed to press OK on the bottom on the file. The Menu
appears, for a fraction of the second also, and I managed to press " get log
file only". After this I found, with the search function, in the folder
C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch the files that Iattached here.
I run Norton Antivirus, wich found 74 potential threats and deleted only 19
of them. I attached here the report file "Threat Alerts-Norton antivirus".

I'm sorry for the long message, but maybe this will ease you to help me.
Thank you all for your help,
Elias

PS I hope you can see my attachments

Boot into Safe Mode.

Double-click on Killbox.exe to run it.
Now put a tick by Standard File Kill.
In the "Full Path of File to Delete" box, copy and paste each of the following lines one at a time then click on the button that has the red circle with the X in the middle after you enter each file.
It will ask for confimation to delete the file.
Click Yes.
Continue with that same procedure until you have copied and pasted all of these in the "Paste Full Path of File to Delete" box.

C:\Program Files\E2G\IeBHOs.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ngsh35.dll
C:\Program Files\Zango Programs\Zango Toolbar\ZangoTB.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\sms_msn.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\mscf.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\msngersd.exe

C:\Program Files\MediaGateway\MediaGateway.exe
c:\program files\zango\zango.exe
C:\WINDOWS\gzmz.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\cmcdlg.exe

Note: It is possible that Killbox will tell you that one or more files do not exist.
If that happens, just continue on with all the files. Be sure you don't miss any.

Exit the KillBox.

Find and delete these folders:

C:\Program Files\E2G
C:\Program Files\Zango Programs
C:\Program Files\Internet Optimizer
C:\Program Files\MediaGateway
c:\program files\zango

Also in Safe Mode navigate to the C:\Windows\Temp folder.
Open the Temp folder and go to Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder.

Go to Start > Run and type %temp% in the Run box.
The Temp folder will open. Click Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder.

It's normal if some files don't delete!

Finally go to Control Panel > Internet Options.
On the General tab under "Temporary Internet Files" Click "Delete Files".
Put a check by "Delete Offline Content" and click OK.
Click on the Programs tab then click the "Reset Web Settings" button.
Click Apply then OK.

Empty the Recycle Bin.

Reboot, post a new log.

** Before you proceed with the removal directions below you need to turn off MS Anti-Spyware's realtime protection as it will interfere with the changes we are trying to make.

Open MS Anti-Spyware and click on Options>Settings.
Click on "Realtime Protection" in the left pane.
Remove the check by these:
Enable the Microsoft Security Agents on startup. (recommended)
Enable real-time spyware threat protection. (recommended)
Click "Save".
Now right click the MS Anti-spyware icon in your system tray and choose "Shutdown Microsoft Anti-Spyware".
You should re-enable these when we are finished here.

Rescan with Hijack This.
Close all browser windows except Hijack This.
Put a check mark beside these entries and click "Fix Checked".

You're welcome :)

Read here on how to tighten your computer's security settings:
http://forums.techguy.org/t208517.html

IMPORTANT!: I highly recommend that you go to Windows Update and install all "Critical Updates and Service Packs" ASAP! This will patch numerous security holes in IE and Windows. Many baddies get on your machine by taking advantage of these vulnerabilities. As your machine stands now it is wide open to attack from all sorts of nasties. You need to get these updates IMMEDIATELY!

Now turn off System Restore:

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Restart your computer, turn System Restore back on and create a restore point.

To create a restore point:

Single-click Start and point to All Programs.
Mouse over Accessories, then System Tools, and select System Restore.
In the System Restore wizard, select the box next the text labeled "Create a restore point" and click the Next button.
Type a description for your new restore point. Something like "After trojan/spyware cleanup". Click Create and you're done.

You can mark your thread "Solved" from the Thread Tools drop down menu.

Hi Cheeseball 81,

I'm afraid they're back! Before I had the chance to implement your proposal to secure my PC an Internet Explorer screen with DFINDER Site appears, after Zango and MRJ. I couldn't ran Task Manager but for a second (they took some 85% of cpu).
I succeed to ran Hijack This only in safe mode. I attache here the log file.

Download http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/DelDomains.inf

Right click the DelDomains.inf file and click Install, making sure Internet Explorer is closed.
You won't see anything happen.

Please do another scan with Ewido in Safe Mode.
When it completes, reboot to Normal Mode. Post a new Hijack This log and the Ewido results.

Hi,
I hope I followed the instructions. I ran both programs in safe mode, the only way I could.
