Not sure if this is vista related or not but my media player is painfully slow to download movie clips on vista whereas on my PC with XP it works fine. Also if I place any clips into a playlist and try to replay them it insists on downloading the clip all over again on each play.

It's a media player 11 issue. This is the media player that comes with vista. Sadly as far as I know of there is no fix for this. What you can try to do is after you download the media clips try to save them on your computer somewhere so that it plays from a documents style folder. This has helped with mine depending on the video clip.

I have media player 11 installed on my PC with XP and it works fine. Is it a problem with the mix of media player 11 and Vista? Also is it not possible to uninstall it and reinstall version 10?

P.S. Is it not a better idea to install and use a different player. If this is possible, any recommendations?

First, Vista uses a little bit diffrent version of player 11. As for going to 10, sadly no. There is no media player 10 for vista. I personally use player 11 for im mainly music so video clips are not the big thing with me. I can't think of anything off the top of my head as for other media players. I do know that many have gone that route so it is possible.
