    Hi!

Somewhere in the last two weeks, my system has been dispaying menu toolbars that have boxes around the options (see attached link). Not all applications seem affected by this.

I've done a system restore, but the issue has not gone away. Could this be a driver issue? Has anyone else experienced this recently?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

    Try this:
Open Display Properties (right-click on the desktop => Properties).
    Click the Appearance tab
    Click the Advanced button
Select 'Menu' from the drop-down box
In the 'Color 1'- box, select the light grey color (bottom-left)
    Click OK
    Click Apply

The possible trade-off is that your other menu color may change.

    Welcome to TSG!

    Fix the ugly menu bar

The regedit fix of changing the UserPreferencesMask then logoff/logon always fixes it for me.

Great you got it fixed. Outcaste's fix was much better. I remembered it when I saw it.
