Solved: metadata monitor

    When i boot up my system(wind xp pro)i get message that says 'metadatamonitor has encountered a problem and must close' with the usual ,send error report or don't send.I click on don't send and carry on my merry way without any apparrent problems.What does it all mean people?Any help would be greatly appreciated.:confused:

    It looks like a part of Creative Labs sound card. Check in msconfig, if you have something from Creative Labs, possibly mtdacqu.exe file. If so, disable it.
    If it shuts your sound down, download new driver.

    Thanks a million Broni,very clever,i have a creative mp3 and have creative media source player.I found that file but being a computer rookie i don't know how to disable it,and seeing that everything seems to be working ok i dont want to tempt fate,anyway many thanks for your prompt reply.
