I am attaching a bmp image of a word document with strange markings.

Can anyone tell me what they are and how do I remove them ?

    Regards

Your post does not have any Word document attached.

You didn't attach the image but I'm going to guess what the markings are. If they look like a backwards or mirrored P and/or a line of hyphens then you will find the same P as an icon on the Word toolbar, just click it to remove the markings, click it again to view them again. Hope I made the right guess.

From the menu bar access "Tools">>"Options" and in the view tab under "Print and Web Layout" uncheck off "Print Boundaries."
