I have an iMac ALU 8,1 from 2007
20 Inch, 2.66 Ghz, 2 GB ram, ATI HD 2600 XT, 640 GB Sata 7200 rpm

And my problem is that I am about to buy a cable to connect a secondary monitor, and I do not know wich one I need.
I don't know wich port I have and I can't really tell the difference.
I searched the net a bit but couldn't seem to find this info.

I looked at the tech specs of the new iMacs on apple.com and they have Mini DisplayPort, but that's the new revision.
What about mine and how do I tell the difference?

Also, where can I get theese kind of cables really cheap? b/c it's freakin expensive from apple.

I can easily see that it resmbels the Mini DVI more than the regular DVI. The difference is huge.

But my problem is that I can't tell the difference between Mini DVI and Mini DisplayPort. And I know I have one of them on my iMac.

sorry i don't know what you mean by mini displayport? As far as i see you need a cable that goes from minidvi to dvi (unless your buying a monitor that is only vga)
