I moved my Compaq MV720 from one room to another. Now the screen colors, which were bright and uniform before, now are grayed on the left side of the screen and gradually change to a light green toward the right hand side. Photo colors on the left side are not what they should be. Any suggestions?

Try shutting down the computer and monitor....double check the monitor connection on the back to be sure it is secure. Then turn on monitor, then turn on the computer.

Are there any magnetic devices nearby? Speakers, amps, etc?

If not and your monitor has a degause button give it a try.

Sounds like magnetic interference to me too.

Also, check what the monitor is near, make sure its level and the cable and pins connecting the Monitor the Computer are ok.

Thanks to all the problem seems to have been solved. AcaCandy's suggestion about turning the computer & monitor off and on again (which happened from normal operation) appears to have helped. I'll be keeping the other suggestions in my file. I'll wait one more day just to make sure and will then consider this thread solved.
