    Hi all.
I just reinstalled the XP home edition and lost all the drivers.
Now the problem is I cannot set to higher screen resolution (I want 1024/768) due to no video card.
A computer technician downloaded a driver that solved this problem before but I cannot find it anywhere.
In device manager, Video Controller (VGA compatible) appears as a yellow question mark with exclamation point. I tried updating the driver, but didn't search anything.
I don't need any good video cards as I don't watch videos or play games, but I really want the resolution to be higher XD.
By the way, my monitor is Samsung.
    Please and Thank you~

How can you see anything at all if you have no video card?

You should have saved your drivers.

They are all available at the computer manufacturer's.

Hi, could you please let us know what you have for a motherboard?

If you havent any idea, please go to start, run, and type in dxdiag. next to system manufacturer and system model, you will find your motherboards make and model. If none of that makes sense to you, please let us know.

AWARD is the BIOS not the motherboard manufacturer

It is very frustrating that today that a new computer purchase does not come with a CD for the motherboard and associated drivers. I have found the original mobo for some computers with a little internet research on the computer model. This search gave me the motherboard and a search on the motherboard gave me the video and sound drivers I needed.

I empathize with you problem. Good luck!

Ok, so I ran the MyPCDrivers software and found that the driver name is SiS 650_651_M650_M652_740. Anyone know what this mean?
    Thanks so much guys~

    OK problem solved.
Basically what I did was, download MyPCDrivers software to see the drivers you need (in my case, SiS 650_651_M650_M652_740).
Simply search for that driver online, download, install.
Thanks to all of you guys who helped~
