    Hi all,

    My dad has a laptop with an external cordless mouse. However, since last night, the mouse no longer recognises up-and-down movement. Sideways movement is perfectly fine, though.

    So far we have:

    * Restarted the computer
    * Reset the connection between the mouse and the receiver
    * Swapped USB ports
    * Replaced the batteries
    * Uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers

    Plugging in another mouse works fine. It is strange that this one should lose one dimension of movement. Does anyone have any thoughts?

    Just tried it in my computer and it's the same thing. The mouse itself is buggered, so the fix is easy... replace it :D.
