[SOLVED] ms-dos start-up

How can I boot up in MS-Dos mode with windows ME os?
There is no "restart in MS-Dos choice in the shut down menu.

Hi plibitz,
You will need a winME startup disk. Insert the disk, Go to Start, Click on Shutdown, Click on Restart. When you are asked select Minimal Boot. You should get a DOS prompt

I tried this, but when the choices appear the keyboard does not respond, so it times out and opens the pre-selected, selection 1. (help file) What now?

I tried it a third time and it worked. Thank you very much for your help.
