Brother MFC7220 is a fairly low cost multifunction laser printer. Aside from the initial expense of laser printers the actual cost per page is way lower than that of ink jet printers.

I have had no experience with Samsung printers so I couldn't say anything good or bad about them. I have always had good luck with the Brothers. We use them at the Catholic school that I do volunteer tech support for and have had years of basically trouble free service with them.

Thanks for your advice, I've settled for the samsung SCX-4200 its small enough to fit under my desk, cheap to buy £65 or $130 and one toner cartridge will do 3000 pages
I don't do much printing so that one cartridge should last me about three years :)

    regards Dan
