Solved: Multiple processes for the same task

    Alright, so when I open a task (Ex. Firefox) multiple processes shows with firefox.exe name in the 'Task Manager'.


    firefox.exe

    svchost.exe

    You can ignore svchosts as this is normal. It is a windows file that runs the exe several times using different switches which invokes different things.

    lots of programs run multiple times, there is nothing to worry about. Do you have several browsers of firefox open? Or is it an old version?
