Is it really switching itself off or is it going into sleep or hibernation mode? Check your poewr management settings in Control Panel.

    Hi Rockn,

Thank you for your interest in my case! The computer in question is one that I use for my customers in my bar here in Mallorca, and the problem is driving me crazy! If you can help that would be fantastic!

I have checked the power options - they are fine - the problem is that it starts sometimes perfectly, then it says that a file called windows drivers ntfs is missing or corrupt, and then I have to boot up Windows Os from the original disk. That seems to work sometimes, but then now the same problem happens again. It seems to work perfectly, then shuts itself off. When ever I try to start it the Bios starts up fine, but then the screen goes blank (black) and hangs.
